‘Po-Zu’ stems from Japanese and means to pause. They are the creators of sustainable and ethically sourced shoes; made from carefully selected natural and sustainable materials that are healthy for your feet, kind to the environment and safe for all workers throughout their supply chain.

Ethical Manufacturing
All their shoes are made in carefully sourced factories that are committed to the highest standards of ethical manufacturing detailed in their Suppliers Code of Practice. The suppliers are required to guarantee safe working conditions, treat workers with dignity and respect, act fairly and ethically, and use environmentally responsible practices wherever they produce resources for Po-Zu.
Sustainable Materials
All Po-zu materials come from naturally renewable sources and are responsibly harvested. They contain no pesticides, bleaches or toxic dyes and are locally sourced wherever possible.They do not use any solvent-based substances and glues. Sustainable materials they use include: linen, Piñatex, organic cotton, wool, cork, chrome leather, coir, natural latex, coconut husk and Eco-Microfibre.
Sustainable Production
The factories creating their products, recycle nearly all their waste products, including fabric off-cuts and water.
Sustainable Packaging
Po-zu shoes come wrapped in tissue paper in a recyclable cardboard shoe box to protect them in transit. The box is encased in a biodegradable plastic mailing bag to prevent water damage.
Gives to charity
Po-zu pledge 10% of their net profit to charity. They divide this donation equally between three environmental charities; The Resurgence Trust, Pesticide Action Network UK and Environmental Justice Foundation.
Social Projects
Po-Zu has set up The Better Shoes Foundation in 2016 to promote sustainable development and practices across the global shoe industry by providing an open-source platform where producers can access relevant information and be inspired by the advances others are making.
